Judge Vail (born 1780) was the leading judge in the trial of Quentin Collins in 1840. Quentin had been framed of committing witchcraft by Gerard Stiles, who was under the possession of Judah Zachery. Quentin was found guilty, but he was set free when Angelique revealed that Gerard was possessed by Judah Zachery.
