Roger Davis

From The Dark Shadows Wiki

Roger Davis (b. April 5, 1939) joined Dark Shadows in January 1968 playing Peter Bradford, the lawyer who fell in love with Victoria Winters in 1796. He went on to play Jeff Clark, Ned Stuart, Dirk Wilkins and Charles Delaware Tate.

Before Dark Shadows, Roger Davis had played the role of Roger Gibson in The Gallant Men and done some other television work. While he was a member of the Dark Shadows repertory company, Davis married actress Jaclyn Smith, whom Dan Curtis wanted her to join the company as a new character to replace the space left by Alexandra Moltke once it became apparent that the audience would accept no other actress in the role of Victoria Winters. Jaclyn Smith later became best known for her role in Charlie's Angels with future Dark Shadows cast member Kate Jackson. Thayer David also appeared on one episode of Charlie's Angels.

After Dark Shadows, Roger Davis appeared in many other television shows, most notably Alias Smith and Jones. He is currently retired from acting and works as a real estate developer in California.
