Robert Gerringer

Robert Gerringer (May 12th 1926 – November 8th 1989) was an American actor who played the role of Dr. David Woodard #2 on the original Dark Shadows. Robert was the second actor to portray the character, replacing actor Richard Woods. He would not be the last Dave Woodard however. In 1967, Robert refused to work during the NABAT strike and his character was replaced by Peter Turgeon with episode 335. Robert appeared in 28 episodes of Dark Shadows altogether. He passed away from a stroke in 1989 at the age of 63.
