The Old House parlor was the main area of congregation for residents staying at the house. Directly in front of the entrance was a staircase leading to the second floor hallway. Facing inward and to the left of the staircase was the egress into the parlour. Behind the staircase was a descending set of steps leading down into the cellar. On the opposite side of the room was a doorway leading into a study.
- Mantle and fireplace, over which hung either a portrait of Angelique, a portrait of Josette Collins, or a portrait of Barnabas Collins.

- A small roll-top desk to the left of the window.
- An occasional easy chair or divan situated near the fireplace. These items seemed to appear and disappear with relative frequency.
