Best known for his portrayal in the stage play and movie The Boys in the Band about a group of gay men in the 1960s, Keith had previously appeared on Broadway in The Sound of Music and Sail Away.
Keith became a close friend of fellow Dark Shadows alum Louis Edmonds.
Keith, who was homosexual, died of AIDS-related cancer in 1992.
