Dr. Fisher was a psychiatrist with a very good reputation that Elizabeth Collins Stoddard brought from Boston to treat her nephew, David Collins in 1968.
Dr. Fisher spoke to David and deduced that he had an inordinate fear of death and he was trying to cope with this fear by creating an imaginary playmate, Sarah, but the scary part of death was being invoked in his brain by his cousin, Barnabas Collins. Little did Dr. Fisher know, David was completely sane, Sarah was a ghost, and his cousin Barnabas was a vampire (335).
