Danielle Rogét was an evil woman from the 18th century (594).

18th CenturyEdit

Danielle Rogét was a French woman, perhaps of some nobility, who put two members of her family and five others to death by guillotine during the French Revolution (594). She then fled to the United States. Professor Stokes stated she had killed at least twelve men in her lifetime, and at the same time made the comment that she has "committed every crime". She was hanged in America after she left France (596). One of the men she killed was her lover, Phillippe Cordier, whom she killed to be with Peter Bradford (610).

Resurrection Edit

Nicholas Blair resurrects Danielle

In 1968, warlock Nicholas Blair resurrected Danielle in order to use her as the Life-Force in the experiment which brought Eve to life (595). She appeared at the Old House the night of the experiment as Leona Eltridge and claimed to be the former lover of Eric Lang. Although Stokes, Barnabas, and Julia distrusted her story, they allowed her to participate anyway.

In a rare moment of ill-planning, using such an evil woman turned out to be a fatal flaw. Eve retained a large portion of her memory and recognized Jeff Clark as the reincarnation of Peter Bradford (609). She even travelled to 1796 (although the show states 1795 (623) to obtain the proof she needed to reveal Bradford's identity. She then gave the proof, the Collins Family History Book, to Victoria as a wedding present (624) and a note which Peter wrote to her when she tried to help him escape (623) the gallows to Jeff as proof that he and Peter Bradford were the same person.

The ghost of Danielle still wandered the House by the sea, tormenting Gerald Conway during his stay in the house. (THBTS)

Through Eve, Danielle was ultimately able to possess Emma Finney in 1973 and last heard driving around the country with Alfie Chapman, who also has done some killing. (BTV, BTG)
